About Us...

In 2006, we moved out of one home to another leaving most of our home furnishings behind. In the new home we were missing everything from glasses and plates to beds, chairs, and sheets. Lawn mower, rake, broom, vacuum and other items for household upkeep were left behind. Christmas and Halloween decorations, iron and board, desk and chairs needed to be bought.

Wal-Mart may be cheap, but the best deal to be found is at the Yard Sale, Garage Sale, Estate Sale, Bazaar, Swap Meet, Flea Market, Rummage Sale, White Elephant Sale and Tag Sale.

On a weekly basis, I reviewed the newspapers and their web sites for the local sales. I quickly found that getting organized saved miles and time, so I would copy the sale address, date, and times to my own Word Document. Then, I sorted them in the order that made the most sense and off I went.

I quickly learned that I could tell more about what was at the sale based on its location than what was listed in the paper. New subdivisions were filled with new families with lots of children's clothing. Older neighborhoods were good for furnishings, yard items, decorations, sheets, and dish sets.

As I would work up my list for the week, I would wish that there was a better way. I thought how nice it would be to print a sorted list of sales without the time spent to get them ordered. I looked for web sites that allowed folks to advertise their sales. I found a few, but none matched what I thought would work best.

They listed, the time, date, and location of the sale. But, they often listed information I didn't need or want to print: e-mail addresses, phone numbers, sellers names. All I wanted to know what where and when.

To make my wish come true, I decided to create my own web site. It would:

  • Allow you advertise your sale
  • Only ask for the most basic information
  • Allow you to advertise three sale dates / times per week
  • Allow others to set up search area using Google Maps
  • Create a printable list of sales in the search area
  • The printable list would be sorted from west to east
  • It would notify folks today when there were sales in their area tomorrow
  • All of this would be free and income would be generated(hopefully) when users clicked on adds from Google AdSense

That's all it would do because that's all you really need. You don't need to know seller's name. No phone numbers or e-mail addresses. No long lists of what is being sold. No fees for advertising. No rate-a-sale. No chat. Simple and useful.

So, thank you for stopping by. We hope you'll come back and set up your sale or use our site to locate your local sales. Please tell your friends and family!

Thanks,
Brian Bollmann
